My internet instructional, Create, is inspired by the contemporary artist, Angu Walters. The objective of the internet instructional is to create own artwork using techniques adapted by Angu Walters. The idea is to motivate a learning process by seeing and reading articles and other media resources that you come across throughout the internet. I chose Angu Walters artwork because his artwork builds upon my previous research I have done for this course which is reflective upon African contemporary art and traditional tribal art. Although the significance of his artwork is underrated, I find his use of abstract techniques to create meaningful art eye-catching and emotionally influencing. I see this piece operating as a set of straightforward instructions leading to one final fluxus type event score where the audience performs an experimental artistic act and gives the performer an open-ended and interactive conception of the purpose behind the entire internet instructional.
